This new bench could serve as a player piano, organ  or keyboard bench.  It is made of solid oak with "pickles" to hold the top at a slant or can be let down for normal use.  "Pickles" were the small attachments , in the shape of a pickle, that allowed the lid to be kept at a slant so the player could lean into and have more leverage to pump the player or pump organ.  It is finished in satin polyurethane and has a generous music compartment under the lid.  This modern adaptation is extremely sturdy.  Dimensions are :
