This picture shows Ruben Thorn on the front right side of the picture creating a soundboard in the Gulbransen piano factory in Chicago in 1916. It appears he is using a plane to taper the edges of the upright soundboard. Though their first serial numbers began in 1915 it was founded in 1904 by Axel Gulbrasen. These caster cups are an example of the many fine hand crafted items made by James Grebe at my shop in Arnold, MO.
